Amedia Plaza Wels Kremsmünstererhof

A house full of tradition and history

At the beginning of the 17th century, the Kremsmünstererhof belonged to the rich merchant Rupert Trinker and became the property of Kremsmünster Abbey in 1630. Since 1635 the Kremsmünstererhof was a free house which was understood to be a house whose owners were granted special privileges. 1644 a painter's workshop was established in the Kremsmünstererhof, whose most important member was the baroque painter Wolfgang Andres Heindl (1693 - 1757).

The house has a very charming rococo facade (18th century) The atmospheric arcade courtyard in the south at the rear of the house can be admired at any time.

The special advantage of this house is its central and quiet location on the historic town square, not far away from the Wels Trade Fair.

As one of the 64 town houses from different style epochs on the Wels town square, the Kremsmünstererhof is the ideal starting point for all activities. Whether shopping in the attractive pedestrian zone, excursions to historical buildings, museums, galleries, theme paths or the former Minorite monastery, everything is within walking distance of the hotel.
