Speyer ist one of the oldest towns in Germay and hi
Speyer is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany with approximately 50,000 inhabitants. Located on the left bank of the river Rhine, Speyer is located 25 km (16 miles) south of Ludwigshafen and Mannheim, and 21 km (13 miles) south-west of Heidelberg. Founded by the Romans, it is one of Germany's oldest cities.
Speyer Cathedral, a number of other churches and the Altpörtel (old gate) dominate the Speyer landscape.
In the cathedral, beneath the high altar, are the tombs of eight Holy Roman Emperors and German kings.
Exciting mix of elements capturing the opulence of times past and today's modern lifestyle & design:
The building is a baroque curb roof with an unique sandstone facade. In 2012 there was the opening of the shopping center “Postgalerie” and now you can also find our AMEDIA Plaza Speyer right there.
A relict from the past:
You can also find the former entrance door of “Oberpostdirektion” located in the lounge of our hotel, as part of the exclusive design.
